4. HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM ELIGIBLE?

There is a two part process. Firstly you must register with us as the HomeBuy Agent by:-

• downloading this form and completing and returning the form to us.
• telephone 0845 8450800 and we will send out the form
• e-mail your details
• fax your details

We can then assess if your details can be passed to the respective Housing Associations for their consideration.
A quick checklist is in Section 5 ("ELIGIBILTY - A QUICK TEST").

This second part of the process involves an interview with staff from the Housing Association and viewing the property.

The interview will go through your application in detail and cover:-

• your current housing circumstances
• your financial details/history including income, existing commitments, employer references, credit references
• your ability to secure a mortgage
• your household/family details

Following this interview a decision can then be made if a purchase can proceed.
